Duff Foreman (Digital Streams)
AI’s first golf broadcaster was a complete dud on his first assignment at the New Mexico Open alongside humans Notah Begay and Ryan Burr. Duff comes off as Captain Obvious in all his analysis and his cheezy Scottish accent and flat cap are laughable . Plus, the 3-second delay before he starts talking is annoying. Duff needs to go back in the lab and maybe comeback better next time. If there is a next time.
Kevin Kisner (NBC)
After a couple of seasons, I’m already exhausted with Kiz’s cornpone analysis. Bring back the Zinger (Paul Azinger, please). Honestly, and I know his will be viewed as blasphemous, but Phil Mickelson should be alongside Dan Hicks. Too bad, Lefty burned all his bridges to the PGA Tour and alienated the entire golf universe, because he can flat out talk all aspects of golf. My gosh, AI Duff Foreman got a broadcasting job before Philly Mick.
David Feherty (LIV Tour)
Thankfully the LIV is either coming to an end, restructuring after bankruptcy or on it’s way to being the next Korn-Ferry Tour. Regardless, I got tired of Feherty a long time ago. Frankly, he’s just not that funny. His lines seem too rehearsed and his years as a shill for LIV did not help his credibility. He reminds of the guy in the pub with long-winded stories who laughs at this own jokes and always thinks he’s the wittiest guy in the room.
Amanda Balionis (CBS)
She’s perky (a little bit too much at times), oozing with adoration for the players and asks the same damn questions over and over again regardless of who she’s interviewing. First question: How does it feel to win or lose? Second question: What went right and what went wrong out there? I don’t know the third question because I’m typically on my way to the fridge for another cold one.
Christina Kim (PGA Tour Live, Golf Channel)
I realize she is just starting out in the T.V. biz while still playing, but somebody, anybody, please get her into some media training. I like her enthusiasm and spunk but she overuses superlatives at an alarming pace. Whether it’s a nice chip around the green or a drive that finds the middle of the fairway, it’s always either “amazing”, “unbelievable” or “spectacular”.
