Rory McIlroy Finally Gets His Green Jacket
Champions Dinner Scottie Style
2024 Champion Scottie Scheffler’s menu was packed with comfort food. In fact, I think I had the same exact menu at Texas Roadhouse a few weeks ago. Tiger Woods, recovering from achilles tendon surgery, was a no show.
Honorary Starters 2025
One of the greatest of many great traditions at the Masters is the honorary starters who hit tee shots on No. 1 hole to signal the start of the tournament. Nicklaus hit down the middle, Tom Watson’s swing is still so smooth and the ageless 89-year old Gary Player piped one and celebrated with his patented leg kick. (BTW, some onlookers said Player’s drive soared more than 250 yards down the fairway.)

Rory McIlroy On His Reaction When the Final Putt Dropped
“It was all relief. There wasn’t much joy in that reaction. It was all relief.”
Justin Rose On Coming So Close to Victory
“So it’s the kind of putt you dream about as a kid. To have it and hole it, it was a special feeling. And unfortunately, the playoff, they always end so quickly. That’s sudden death. You don’t really get an opportunity. If you’re not the guy to hit the great shot or hole the great putt, it’s over.”
Rory McIlroy on Tuesday on the Uniqueness of Augusta National
“You’re going to face shots and putts on this golf course that you don’t necessarily face every other week of the year.”

“I think one thing that’s very underrated about Augusta—it’s not underrated, but I think just because of the fact that the patrons don’t have their phones out, it actually makes it feel like they’re so much more engaged. It’s a lot more eye contact with the fans. You can really tell that they watch and appreciate good golf. ”
Fred Couples on Why He feels Comfortable at ANGC
“I can play around here. If the weather is like this … as long as I don’t do crazy things I can shoot 73 or 4 or 5. That’s not embarrassing myself at all. The goal for me is to make the cut. Same with [Bernhard] Langer. Any other ancient guys? [Angel] Cabrera. That’s really our goal.”
