Private Air Golf Travel Not Just For Ryder Cuppers

Posted onOctober 13, 2025October 13, 2025 Magellan Jets, Magellan private jet charter, Private jet travel, private jet travel for golf vacations

When Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls were collecting NBA trophy upon trophy, he’d often penetratingly offer these words of wisdom: “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”

That collective-effort mantra also defines and drives Magellan Jets’ winning ways.

The private aviation company closed the core golf season commonly referred to as “King of Private Air Golf Travel” for consistently providing luxury and custom private-air journeys to elite and recreational golfers worldwide.

The title, bandied about in countless locker rooms, golf grilles and other golf circles, comes with good reason.

From 2025’s first major, The Masters, to last week’s Ryder Cup on Long Island, NY, a record-high number of PGA TOUR and LIV GOLF players and fans relied on the company to get them safely and efficiently to and from professional tournaments.  Magellan Jets flew roughly 10% of the player field into and out of Augusta, Ga. in April, also dominating runways within crawling distance of U.S. Open and Open Championship courses outside Pittsburgh and in Northern Ireland, respectively.

Related to the Ryder Cup, Front Office Sports attributed to Magellan Jets that flight operation volume in the tri-state area, thanks largely to USA-Europe battle, is up 19% compared to the same time last year.

Then there are recreational golfers:  For almost two decades, Magellan Jets has been the No. 1 private aviation provider for flights to famous golf destinations, including Bandon Dunes, Kiawah Island, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, St. Andrews and Whistling Straits, as well as iconic private clubs, including Ballybunion, Cypress Point, Pine Valley, Seminole and Shinnecock Hills.

Discerning golfers are paired with a Magellan Jets Private Aviation Golf Advisor who is expert in helping select their preferred aircraft from light to heavy jets and build golf itineraries to play award-winning layouts alongside elevated accommodations, ground transportation, dining and cultural activities.  The company often decorates planes with golf-theme accoutrements to pump up the vibe among Private Clients.

“Be it memorable rounds on a family vacation, buddy trip or for business entertainment, our golf concierges have your curated golf experiences of a lifetime covered end to end,” said Josh Lesnick, Chief Commercial Officer of Magellan Jets.  “This follows our broader ‘every journey is personal’ ethos around traveling in style and going the extra mile to make trips hassle-free and ultra-special.”

Golf itineraries range from short-flight, long-weekend jaunts to long-flight, weeklong golf extravaganzas across oceans, regions and dozens of courses.  Groups of friends, family and business associates allow for cost-sharing.

The “King” title extends to NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and MLS stars, as well as entertainment celebrities, corporate executives, business entrepreneurs, government officials and high-net-worth families.  These Magellan Jets loyalists covet the anonymity that goes along with their discreet ways.

Furthermore, Magellan Jets is widely recognized, including its naming by Modern Luxury as “Best Private Jet Charter 2024” and selection among Inc. 5000’s “Fastest Growing Companies” for personalizing Private Client journeys.
