The Envelope Please –2020 IAGTO Golf Travel Awards

Posted onOctober 22, 2019October 22, 2019 best golf travel destinations, best golf travel tips, golf destinations, golf travel awards, Golf Travel Guru, golf vacations

After three decades of circling the glob in search of great golf travel destinations, I humbly consider myself to be a reliable source for good advice.

But, if you don’t fully trust the GT Guru (which, incidentally, I find impossible to believe), maybe you’ll listen to the IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators), which represents over 700 golf tour operators in 63 countries.

At their recent 20th Anniversary Awards ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, they handed out awards on the best golf destinations and resorts as voted by their tour operators and media members.

The envelope, please:

Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year: CAMBODIA

Golf Resort of the Year — The Americas: MOON PALACE CANCUN, MEXICO

Golf Resort of the Year –Europe, Middle East & Africa: ADARE MANOR, IRELAND

Asia Pacific Golf Resort of the Year: SOFITEL ANGKOR PHOKEETHRA GOLF RESORT & SPA

Here are the Top 15 Golf Destinations for 2020 voted by the members (in alphabetical order):
